Its versatility includes use as a data-logger, data acquisition front-end and switch system. It measures and converts temperature with thermocouples, RTDs & thermistors, dc & ac voltage, 2-wire & 4-wire resistance, frequency & period and dc & ac current. Each channel is independently configurable. Built-in signal conditioning means users can measure 11 different functions without the added cost or hassle of external signal conditioning accessories. With an emphasis on flexibility, the 34972A DAQ also allows the user to specify measurement functions by individual channel and take advantage of user-definable software units, Mx + B scaling and alarm limits.
